ExxonMobil Awards $1.1B Contracts for Mozambique LNG Project

Exxon Mobil Corp and its Area 4 partners have issued around $1.1 billion in engineering, procurement and manufacturing contracts for the pre-FID Rovuma LNG project in Cabo Delgado. Rovuma LNG will develop offshore gas resources in Area 4 to be fed to an onshore liquefaction facility with a capacity of 18.6 million metric tons a year, according to the Texas-based energy giant. "The largest contract was granted to OneSubsea UK Ltd and OneSubsea AS, with in-country work to be supported by Aker Solutions Mozambique Ltda, for engineering, procurement, fabrication and manufacturing services related to subsea production systems, controls and umbilicals", ExxonMobil Moçambique Ltda said in a press release.
