Titanic 3D Model

I've always been fascinated by the Titanic and can't help but feel my jaw drop when I see the 3D reconstruction that was able to be created using 3D Photogrammetry. Not only is the ability to capture detailed data and images amazing given varying water conditions, but also the powerful post-processing that really brings the data to life. Intertek and our partner DroneQ Robotics use this exact same Voyis equipment in our underwater 3D modelling missions, integrated into our specialised subsea robotic ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle). Our team will be offshore in Belgian waters next week creating simialr 3D models using the Voyis technology on our specialised compact ROV. The project itself is confidential, but I know the client will be blown away by the results!

The Titanic lies 3,800m (12,500ft) down in the Atlantic. In summer 2022, Magellan Ltd, a leading deep-sea mapping and survey company, was provided with Voyis’ underwater imaging sensors to complement their own systems and conduct the extensive optical survey.
